What began as a small group of friends coming together to play weekend cricket has grown into a thriving club that proudly represents excellence, inclusivity, and community spirit.

Founded by friends working together in the tech industry, the club was created from a shared love for cricket and a simple desire to stay connected beyond the workplace.

Today, based at James Bathe Community and Sports Hub in Pakenham, Edenbrook Avengers has become a home for players and families who believe in playing the game the right way — with passion, respect, and teamwork.

A key part of our journey has been giving back to the community through our support and collaboration with Friends of Children’s Foundation, reinforcing our belief that sport can create meaningful social impact.

The story of Edenbrook Avengers Cricket Club began in 2012, when a group of friends with a shared passion for cricket started playing informal weekend matches in Glen Iris.

Driven by common interests, strong friendships, and a love for competition, the group officially formed the club in 2015. The foundation of what would become Edenbrook Avengers had already been built — on teamwork, commitment, and a vision to create something lasting.

Relocating and establishing its home at James Bathe Community and Sports Hub marked a new era of structured growth, expanding across senior and junior cricket while building a strong and inclusive community culture.
